Jackie Mayer

Born into a dancing household, Jackie now follows in her mother's footsteps as a dance teacher. At the ripe age of 3, Jackie spun her way into formal dance training, and shortly after began competing nationally as a member of the Dance Attack Performing Company. Her career took off quickly and remained strong, with a long list of scholarships and competition titles awarding her talent and leadership on the floor alongside longtime partners and superstars, such as Nick Lazzarini "So You Think You Can Dance" Season One winner. Although she began assisting her mother's classes and summer dance camps at age 10, Jackie's life as an instructor ignited in high school, where she held the title of president and choreographer of her high school's dance program, Dance Spectrum. Also during her teenage years, Jackie served as co-captain and choreographer of her Varsity song-leading team for 3 years, after which she enrolled at UCLA to dance. Now graduated, Jackie plans to return to her earliest passion: teaching. In addition to the ballet, jazz, tap, and tumbling in her repertoire at Dance for Kids, Jackie teaches college students at UCLA Recreation Center.
