Kristen Volk
 Kristen Volk, a San Diego native, now relocated to North Hollywood in hopes to pursue a career as a professional dancer in the commerical industry. She just recently graduated from Chapman University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and an emphasis in Liberal Studies. Currently she is completing her Master in Teaching at Chapman University in the College of Educational Studies. While at Chapman Kristen was able to further her training in modern, ballet, jazz, contemporary and hip hop. The past four years of her college career she was trained under the influence of Leann Alduenda, Mike Esperanza, Alicia Okouchi-Guy, and original member of Bella Lewitzky’s Company, Sean Greene. At Chapman, she had the opportunity to showcase two choreographed pieces in the student concerts, as well as perform in faculty and professional works, including performances with Chapman’s hip hop group- Team Shaka. She also had the privilege to dance alongside personal friends, ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ contestants Ade Obayomi, Katee Shean, and Stephen “Twitch” Boss. Just recently, Kristen was selected to be featured in the first recorded Chapman College of Performing Arts televised commercial. Kristen continues to pursue her dance career in the commercial industry and one day would like to teach in an educational setting. Kristen is excitied to be a new member of the Dance for Kids family and is looking forward to a great year. |
